We have had another busy week in Nursery. Making friends and learning to share our equipment.
This week we have made play dough faces, mixed colours in our scrimbling area, tried to write our names in flour and had a Harvest assembly from Reverend Liz Devall. Thank you to parents who sent in items.
On Monday we received an invitation.
We needed to make party hats!
On Tuesday someone left us a gift, it was an ark.
Friday was our party day! We wore hats, we played party games in the hall. We danced and finished with our party food after we had sung 'Happy Birthday' to Lulu.
Lulu loves bubbles! We made bubbles in the water area then made bubble pictures.
We celebrated Diwali, listening to the story of Rama and Sita before practicing some Diwali dancing.
We've had a very busy term of learning.
During 'Art Week' we looked at Gustav Klimt and all the shapes he had in his paintings. We spotted squares, oblongs, triangles and circles. We used these shapes to print our own Klimt inspired work.
Our second half term started with a variety of work based on the story 'Owl Babies'. We even had a cave in class!
The children loved doing our learning through the 'Gruffalo' book. He created a lot of mischief in our classroom!
Our learning never stops. Here we are walking on numbers.
We even had time to support 'Children in Need' Thank you to parents for their kind donations. It was great fun wearing our PJ's.
We have been learning about 'tall and small'.
Christmas was fun in Nursery.
Everyone loved our 'Wriggly Nativity'!
Well the start of our second term has been a cold one, but whatever the weather we have been learning outside.
We have also enjoyed learning indoors too.
Food around the world meant that we could learn a little bit about Spain and where Mrs Diaz comes from. We had a brilliant Spanish day with her.
We learnt to count to three, say 'Hello' and 'Goodbye', play the castenetts and even did a Spanish dance!
After that we tried some special sangrea and olives. We all had a lot of fun learning.
We have also changed our role play area into an ice cream shop. We have taken orders and had to make their ice creams!
Our food around the world topic has also meant we could try pizza from Italy. We all enjoyed this type of food.
We have even had time to enjoy 'Numbers Day'.
