Please read this form carefully and help to make sure our school is as well funded as possible.


Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 (KS1) - pupils in these year groups are currently entitled to have a school meal, free of charge under the Universal Infant Free School Meal scheme.


Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 (KS2) - there is a charge for school meals for pupils in these year groups. The cost of a school meal from September 2019 will be £2.30 per day.


School can claim additional funds from central Government for every child in any year group whose Parent/Carer is receiving one of the welfare benefits listed below.


  • Universal Credit, provided annual net earned income not exceeding £7,400(£616.67 per month)
  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under Part 6 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • The guarantee element of Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit but not Working Tax Credit and the household income (as used by HMRC to assess tax credits) is not more than £16,190. Please note: anyone eligible for Working Tax Credit, or if you have a partner and they receive it, regardless of Income, you will not qualify
  • Working Tax Credit run-on - paid 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit


The additional funds are put towards valuable support like extra tuition, additional teaching, and pupil welfare or after school activities.


If eligible, your child will also have the option of enjoying a Free School Meal every day.


Schools can claim this additional funding whether your child has a meal in school or brings a packed lunch from home.

So if you are in receipt of any of the benefits listed we would be very grateful if you could Check your child(ren)s eligibility.

DO NOT send your child into school if they have any ONE of the following symptoms: (1) A HIGH TEMPERATURE (this mean they feel hot to the touch on their back or chest) - (2) A NEW, CONTINUOUS COUGH (this means coughing a lot, for more than one hour, or 3 or more coughing episode within 24 hours) - (3) A LOSS OR CHANGE TO SENSE OF SMELL OR TASTE (this means they cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal)
